For international clothing designers trying to gain exposure and showcase their art, Los Angeles fashion week is the place to be. Designers from all over the world come together at this world-class event to display their latest collections. Over 20,000 influential VIPs attend this six-day event, making it a beautiful land of opportunity.
This year, Fiji’s top 12 designers will reap the benefits of that opportunity and showcase their collections in LA on Oct. 11 from 4-5:30 p.m.
Designers like Robert Kennedy, Afa Ah Loo, Huudaverti ACW, Kui Viti, 8 Mountains, Model Citizen and more will send their designs down the runway at Union Station for an exclusively Fijian fashion show.
A Fiji-themed tropical after party will follow the show, featuring food, entertainment and auctions. Apart from the opportunities to increase brand awareness, meet international buyers and gain worldwide exposure, these designers have something more to gain. The success of this show will secure them a permanent spot at LA fashion week.
“It is the first and biggest opportunity we have ever faced,” said Ellen Whippy-Knight, Director of Fiji Fashion Week. “The 12 Designers and 10 models are extremely excited about the experience and opportunity awaiting us in LA.” she said.
The show is sponsored by Pure Fiji, Boutique in a Bag, Fiji Tourism, Fijian Made, WAVI, and Fiji Fashion Week. Tickets are on sale from 50-100 USD.
